As people come and go from your business or project, it's important you keep your team up to date by adding/removing seats.

Are you looking for a way to efficiently work on templates with your team? A subscription seat could be the solution you need! With a subscription seat, which represents a single user license, users can easily collaborate. It's important to note that if your organization utilizes a Team subscription, all users involved in the templates must have a seat.

But how can you assign these seats to your team members? It's simple! As an Owner or Manager in the Organization, you have the authority to assign seats.

  1. Begin by visiting the Folio homepage and clicking on Settings.

  2. From there, navigate to Plan&Billings on the sub-navigation

  3. Click on the Seat Management button. Select the Organization member that you want to assign a seat to and add the seat by clicking the Add Seat button.

Looking to add more seats to your subscription? No problem! You can purchase additional seats at any time. With subscription seats and the ease of assigning them to team members, collaborating on templates has never been simpler!

Removing Seats

If you're using Folio as your demo creation tool and are subscribed to the Team plan, your pricing is based on the number of seats you've subscribed to. These seats are allocated to teammates with Owner, Editor, or Viewer roles. However, if you find that you have more seats than you require, you can remove the extra seats from your workspace.

Please keep in mind that only members with Owner roles have access to the Plan&Billing page, from where they can remove extra seats.

To remove a seat, simply follow the steps below:

  1. On your Folio homepage, click on Setting.

  2. Within Settings, click on Plan&Billing from the sub-navigation menu.

  3. Click the Seat Management button.

  4. Choose the Remove Seat option and select the number of seats you want to remove.

It's noteworthy that you can only remove unassigned seats. In case you're already using or have assigned all the subscribed seats to users, you'll need to remove users first and then proceed to remove their seats.

After you remove a seat, the change will come into effect at the time of your next renewal. You'll see a pending change that will reflect the number of seats you'll have and the amount you'll be charged for the following renewal period. Keep in mind that Folio does not offer refunds for seats removed during a billing period.
